The goal of this project was to determine customer success with a proposed new design for the Partner portal; a password-protected microsite housing partner resources and controls.
Also, stakeholders wanted deeper understanding of pain points or concerns partners had with the current or redesigned portal so those issues could be addressed. The overall business goal was to increase effectiveness of the Partner program.
My role was to own usability testing, from request to report out, and share findings with the product and partner teams. I selected a virtual lab evaluation for speed, ease of testing, and the ability to recruit partners from various geographic locations.
Participants had a high success rate (~93%) and averaged few errors with tasks fundamental to success with the Portal. This data allowed the product team to launch with confidence.
In addition, sentiment overall was very positive and feedback was obtained that allowed the product team to iterate slightly to also provide a delightful experience.
